SECTOR · AEROSPACE SUPPLY CHAIN

Electrical work for the firms aerospace supply chain.

East Lancashire has a stronger aerospace supply chain than most people realise. BAE Systems at Samlesbury anchors a wider network of Tier 2 and Tier 3 component manufacturers, precision engineering firms and MRO operations across the region.

WHY AEROSPACE

Aerospace work demands different paperwork.

Aerospace supply chain electrical work isn’t categorically different from precision engineering — but the paperwork bar is meaningfully higher. AS9100, Nadcap, ISO 9001, customer-specific approvals (BAE, Airbus, Rolls-Royce supplier requirements) all add documentation overheads to even routine electrical work.

We work with several Tier 2 and Tier 3 suppliers across East Lancashire and the supply chain that BAE Samlesbury and the wider Lancashire aerospace cluster supports. The work itself is recognisable industrial electrical — CNC supplies, three-phase installs, machine power, EICRs, planned maintenance. The wrap-around is more rigorous: documented procedures, audit-traceable records, calibration-traceable test equipment.

We’ve built our maintenance offering specifically to suit the aerospace supply chain’s compliance needs. Asset registers updated quarterly. Test equipment calibration traceable to UKAS. EICR documentation filed in a format that satisfies AS9100 audit. The paperwork is the differentiator — and the bit most general electrical contractors don’t do well enough for this sector.

SERVICES FOR AEROSPACE SUPPLY CHAIN

What we do for aerospace clients.

01

Machine power supplies

New dedicated supplies for production machinery, sized to the load with proper isolators, fused spurs and containment.

02

3-phase installations

New 3-phase supplies, capacity upgrades, sub-mains. DNO liaison handled where needed.

03

Factory lighting

High-bay LED for production halls, workshops and warehouses. Lux surveys, documented savings, phased installs.

04

Planned maintenance

Annual EICRs, thermal imaging, PAT testing, scheduled distribution inspection. 24-hour breakdown response.

05

Distribution upgrades

Board replacements, sub-mains, capacity upgrades. Out-of-hours so production doesn’t stop.

06

Thermal imaging surveys

Non-intrusive thermal imaging of distribution boards and panels — finds the failure before it happens.
